Ghost Train

A stop-motion animation about a haunted train in the Old West. I shot it on 16mm film, using a Bolex. All the models are paper. I used illustrations I had done, and cut the pieces out, then glued wires to the back so they could hold their poses while I shot a frame of animation. All the ghosts were done on greenscreen (aka green posterboard).

I also had the privilege of using a Nagra reel-to-reel tape recorder to capture, in gloriously rich analogue, the sounds of a real steam train in Colorado, and all my foley and voices.

The music was written for the film by Bobby Shields.
